DSG Collaborates with VERITY Now to Advance Gender-Inclusive Crash Testing

DSG was fortunate to work on raising awareness around an important cause with VERITY Now, which advocates for the use of crash test dummies that better represent women’s bodies in auto crash testing. Women die and are injured at higher rates than men in comparable auto crashes because the dummies used represent the male body only, and VERITY Now fights to change that. Their efforts helped lead to the introduction of the She Drives Act, which could bring serious progress to this worthwhile cause, in the U.S. Senate in May 2024. A month earlier, VERITY Now’s co-chair, former Congresswoman Susan Molinari, appeared on Good Morning America on ABC to highlight the deadly effects of gender bias in crash testing.
