Christina Amestoy

Christina Amestoy is a Principal in Dewey Square Group's communications practice, working with a range of clients, including nonprofit organizations, issue advocacy campaigns, and national trade associations.
Christina brings with her a decade of Democratic campaign communications experience. In 2024, Christina led political communications for Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and his newly established abortion rights ballot initiative nonprofit, Think Big America. She served as senior campaign communications advisor for the Democratic Governors Association from 2019 to 2022, helping governors navigate the national media landscape around the COVID-19 pandemic and leading the DGA communication efforts in key 2022 election cycle states. Her work included supporting the successful reelection of Governors Tony Evers in Wisconsin, Janet Mills in Maine, Tim Walz in Minnesota and Katie Hobbs' historic victory in Arizona. Prior to joining the DGA, Christina was the communications director for Steve Sisolak's gubernatorial campaign in Nevada, electing the state's first Democratic governor in over 20 years. She has also served in senior communications campaign roles in New Jersey and Vermont and advised on efforts in states across the country.
Christina is a Vermont native and a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She lives in Chicago.
