Jennifer Manley
Principal
As a principal in DSG's communications practice, Jennifer specializes in crisis management and media relations. She crafts strategic plans to help individuals and companies articulate their brand and message. Her clients cover a wide range of areas from healthcare, energy, development and political. Jennifer melds experience in the public sector, a journalistic understanding of what matters in communities, and a depth of political experience that makes her well versed in public policy.
As Director of Public Health Strategy and Communication for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, she oversaw all media and communications activities for more than 100 different programs including infectious diseases, environmental health and prevention efforts. At Solomon McCown & Company, where her clients included the state Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, the Massachusetts Quality and Cost Council and the Massachusetts Hospital Association she devised PR plans to help elevate her clients exposure. She also worked as Grassroots Manager for the Hospital Association, helping to build support for emerging healthcare public policy and health initiatives. At the ABC TV affiliate in Maine Jennifer held several positions including, 6 PM weekday news anchor, political reporter and producer.
Jennifer has won three Associated Press awards, five Maine Association of Broadcasters awards and one Massachusetts Emmy for the communications response to the H1N1 pandemic.
Jennifer is a proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Emerson College. She currently resides in North Reading.
